The right digital guide is the one that matches your situation. A familiar product name is not enough: state, role and task all matter.

Resource matching sequence: identify the state, confirm the authorized role, then name the task before opening the guide.

Start with what you need to do

“Direct my care” may be the search phrase, while the actual question is about recording a visit, reviewing time, understanding a status or getting help with a device. DirectMyCare’s official training page groups materials by state and caregiver or participant role. Use that structure before following a step-by-step instruction.

Three labels that prevent a wrong turn

  1. State: program rules and available materials are not necessarily the same across state lines
  2. Role: entering a visit and reviewing it can involve different instructions and permissions
  3. Task: a training guide, a state support page and a policy bulletin answer different questions

The local resource router organizes these categories. Its results are links and reading prompts, not a determination of enrollment, account access or a program’s complete requirements. Choosing “other or unsure” leads to a general official starting point rather than a guessed state route.

Do not merge system names

Washington’s terms and definitions distinguish CareAttend, DirectMyCare, Workday and ADP. That source describes Washington’s context. It is useful evidence against treating all system names as synonyms, but it does not prove identical availability or functions in every state.

DirectMyCare and MyDirectCare should not be treated as interchangeable labels. Verify the exact name and destination in current program instructions. A search advertisement, an old bookmark or a coworker’s route is not enough to establish which service applies to you. This publication does not repeat unverified migration dates.

A fictional wrong-guide problem

A participant opens a caregiver instruction because the product name matches. The screen and action do not match the participant’s task. Rather than assuming the account is broken, the participant checks the role heading and returns to the official state-and-role training index. If the appropriate material is unclear, the next step is official support.

You do not need participant names, visit addresses, diagnoses or actual time records to choose a public guide. The router accepts categories only and sends nothing. Once a verified support representative needs case-specific information, follow that program’s approved channel and request only the help you need.

For the meaning of EVV, read the six-element explanation. For a technical problem, prepare an accessible support note rather than repeatedly trying a guide for the wrong role.

Sources and limits

Official public sources checked October 18, 2026. Practical examples and reading methods are original editorial analysis, not official procedures. No private account or visit record was inspected.

  1. DirectMyCare training materials

Training materials grouped by state and caregiver or participant role. The applicable guide depends on program and role.

  2. Washington terms and definitions

Washington-specific definitions distinguish CareAttend, DirectMyCare, Workday and ADP functions; they must not be generalized to every state.

  3. Consumer Direct online support by state

Official state-oriented support starting point; this publication does not operate or authenticate any account.
